Barrosinha inaugurates new accommodation

After having invested about 5 million euros in requalifications and various interventions in former industrial and agricultural spaces that gave rise to a luxury hotel opened in 2019, Herdade da Barrosinha now inaugurates a new house to expand its offer on the property.

Inserted in The Herdade da Barrosinha, located in Alcácer do Sal, Casa do Pinhal is prepared to receive families or groups of friends. It has four bedrooms, a living room, fully equipped kitchen with appliances and meal utensils, 3 bathrooms, patio, barbecue and private pool.

Companhia Agrícola da Barrosinha dates back to 1947, and the property belonged to the well-known wine entrepreneur Abel Pereira da Fonseca. It is currently owned by a fund managed by ECS Capital that has transformed the property into a profitable tourism project, where various activities of oenotourism are carried out.

Going through the estate, there are also several points of interest, such as the two old factories of descasque / packaging of rice and production of rations, the old primary school, canteen, sawmill, as well as several Alentejo hills, two chapels, and the village of Barrosinha, where old and current employees of the property still reside.

Casa do Pinhal is inserted in this rural environment and offers several amenities to the enotourists who pass through there. In the Tavern, for example, they can sample regional delicacies. Next door, it is also possible to visit the winery and taste wines, go hiking, cycling or horseback riding to participate in forest activities where the cork circulation and the harvest of pine cone, harvest (in your time), hunt and practice motor sports with varying degrees of difficulties stand out. At the same time, in partnership with local companies of tourist animation and events it is possible to embark on the anchorage of Herdade da Barrosinha and follow the estuary of Sado contemplating its beautiful landscape and observing an internationally recognized biodiversity, highlighting the avifauna.
