Concour Mondial de Bruxelles 2022 divided into 4 sessions

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has positioned itself internationally as one of the most prestigious in the world. Now, the days of prva will be adapted to each type of wine.

From 2022, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles will be organized in 4 separate sessions to evaluate each type of wine in an even more rigorous way. The evaluations are entrusted to expert experts and selected for their knowledge and ability to taste all types of wines according to their particularities.

The different sessions take place at different times, depending on the production and marketing of each type of wine. The 4 tasting sessions of the Brussels World Competition take place annually in different regions of production and/or consumption.

In the Session of Rosé Wine will be approved all quiet rosé wines, sparkling and semi-sparkling, as well as the liqueur wines rosé. The event in March aims to respond to market needs and the growing interest of consumers in rosé wines. Award-winning producers thus have at their disposal promotional and marketing tools barely enter the commercial circuit.

The Red and White Wine session will be open to all white wines (including tanning wines) and all dry and semi-dried red wines of any origin and any variety. This session – the largest of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, in terms of the number of samples – takes place every year in May.

The sparkling wine session will be dedicated to all sparkling and semi-sparkling wines of the 3 colors, whether dry, semi-dry or sweet. Organized in June, this session will highlight the diversity of sparkling wines in terms of origin, expression and typicality.

Finally, sweet and fortified wines will be tasted in the sweet and fortified wines session, as well as liqueur and fortified wines, regardless of their dosage and color. A jury of experts who are authorised to evaluate these wines will meet each year in October.

The dates and locations of each session of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles will be officially announced in order to highlight the most dynamic wine regions and most sensitive to the promotion of quality wines.

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is an international competition in which more than 10,000 wines (including the early section of the ROSÉ CMB) presented by producers to be tasted and evaluated by a panel of experts. Our experienced tasters taste the wines in competition. Its only watchword: to distinguish wines whose quality is irreprehensible, without prejudice to the label or the prestige of the name. The Competition is among the most important international events of its kind.
