The Global Wine Tourism Organization (GWTO) and its Academy will be officially presented on November 5, from 15:45 to 17:00 CET (14:45 - 16:00 Portuguese time).
The regional directors of GWTO and the Academy authorities will be presented, and their roles in the organization explained.
Maria João de Almeida, President of APENO, is delegated in Portugal to GWTO. One of the main objectives of this organization is to support its members to face the challenges in the current conjuncture, fostering value omentourism. "This union of forces between countries will give greater visibility to the oenotourism. We are working to make Portuguese a global reference, so it is a pride to belong to this organization that will certainly be one of the main support to achieve this goal", said the President of APENO.
The event is aimed at governments (central, regional and local), tourism and wine professionals, gastronomy and agro-industry in general, the academic and educational sector, journalists, bloggers and consumers.
The Global Wine Tourism Organization is an international knowledge and business network organization that brings together the public and private sectors to contribute to the socio-economic development of wine tourism destinations as part of an inclusive and supportive governance structure based on the United Nations 2030 Agenda for sustainable development goals.
