Quinta de Roriz, in the Douro, the region where Chryseia is born

So it was born no only the partnership with the Symington, with a beautiful friendship. In 1999, the year in which started the project, it was investigated as soon as the best plots of vines and the varieties best suited to produce Chryseia.

After several experiences, Bruno Prats realized that the Varieties Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca would be the best base for Chryseia. Thus, the first harvest is born and 2000, which the winemaker considers to have been a good starting point. Today, in close collaboration with Charles Symington, the winemaker of the family who holds the largest heritage of vineyards in the Douro (27 Farms with more than 1,000 hectares of came and with brands such as Graham's, Dow's, Warre's, Cockburn's, Quinta do Vesuvio and Altano), Bruno Prats being able to adapt in Quinta de Roriz the principles of bordeaux's quality and elegance.

In fact, taste this wine is always an experience, although from year to year keep the same style, sometimes more intense than others. This new harvest of 2017 of reink color, has a complex aroma of wild ruts and mineral notes very elegant. On the palate is structured but thin, with a mouth end Extended. A big wine.
