Quinta de Chocapalha has reopened its doors to wine writers. The Clean&Safe Seal is the guarantee that the property complies with the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health in order to protect its nonoturists from Covid -19.
Just 45 minutes from Lisbon, Chocapalha's wine tourism activities include a short stroll through the vineyards, a visit to the wine cellar and the barrel room, ending with a wine tasting. As a first step, wine tastings will be conducted outdoors whenever possible.

Quinta de Chocapalha, located in the Galician Village in Alenquer, demarcated region of Lisbon is mentioned since the 19th century. xvi for its excellent vineyards and wines. The couple invested in the restructuring and total replanting of the 45 hectares of vineyards and in the winery and introduced new cultivation techniques in order to continue the old traditions of this wine farm, always in search of an improvement in the qualities and prestige of its wines. Only in the 2000 harvest, when the vineyards reached their desired maturity and quality, it was decided to proceed to bottling the best wines produced there. At that time, Sandra Tavares da Silva, daughter of the owners, challenged her parents to start producing wine with the best grapes produced here.
